Our Story

Owning a boutique has been a vision of mine for many years.  In fact, I had registered the name quite some time before making the decision to go forward with the boutique.  I decided one Sunday this year, while at church, that "2016 is going to be THE YEAR!"  Church has such an impact in my life that while I was thinking of names for the boutique, I creatively came up with Shabby Shak Boutique.  I knew exactly what I wanted as soon as I had written it down on paper.  I hand designed my logo and my cousin helped me complete the design to perfection.  Do you know what "Shak" means?  "Shak" is an acronym that I have created meaning "Seek Him As King."  Pretty amazing?!?  I think so!  The bible verse that I have chosen for this venture is Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV).  "But without faith it is impossible to please HIM, for he who comes to God must believe that HE is, and that HE is a rewarder of those who diligently seek HIM."  Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)

I also designed the business card as visioned.  It is shaped like a "tag;" therefore, making it a multipurpose card/tag.  Each card has a hole (like a tag) with jute tied through the hole.  Can you guess what the jute is holding?  I will tell you; it's holding a cross!  You must see for yourself!  I wanted to create a unique name, unique card, along with a unique shopping experience.  Happy Shopping Everyone!  Many Blessings to all!  Be happy and keep the faith! Lynette :)
